Nilesat 102 satellite is basically identical to Nilesat 101 and collocated with it in the orbital position 7º west. Nilesat 102 has an additional Receiving Horn Antenna to receive up-linking from London and Europe. Nilesat 102 provides additional channels to that provided by Nilesat 101.

Nilesat 102 offers wide bandwidth solutions to television and radio broadcasters and multimedia Internet service providers as Nilesat 101. Nilesat 102 has the same down link coverage area as Nilesat 101.
